ISLAMABAD: Prices of petroleum products are likely to increase by Rs 10 and a half.
According to ARY News, the sources said that the Finance Ministry has received a summary of the increase in the prices of petroleum products in which it has been proposed to increase the price of high speed diesel by Rs 10 and a half per liter.
Sources said that an increase of Rs 1 per liter in petrol price has been proposed while the price of kerosene is likely to increase by Rs 5.5 per liter.
It has been proposed to increase the price of light diesel by Rs 5.5 per liter.
According to sources, a summary of the price hike has been prepared in accordance with the existing levy, GST.
The final decision on the revision in the prices of petroleum products will be taken by the Ministry of Finance in consultation with the Prime Minister. The new prices of petroleum products will be implemented from September 16.
