A total of 732 Afghans fled to Afghanistan after the Torkham border reopened

Khyber: After the opening of Torkham border, 732 Afghan citizens left for Afghanistan from yesterday and 32 Pakistani citizens reached Pakistan through Torkham border.

According to details, the flow of people coming and going from Afghanistan to Pakistan is continuing. The Deputy Commissioner said that after the opening of Torkham border, a total of 732 Afghan citizens went to Afghanistan and 32 Pakistani citizens reached Pakistan through Torkham border.

Deputy Commissioner said that Afghan citizens from Pakistan can go to Afghanistan on foot at Torkham border, Pakistanis coming from Afghanistan will be allowed to come to the country, Deputy Commissioner

He further said that citizens coming from Afghanistan are tested for corona at Torkham border. If the corona test is positive, they are quarantined in the hospital for one week.

It may be recalled that the Afghan women’s football team had reached Torkham with their families yesterday. Assistant Commissioner Akbar Iftikhar said that documents of Afghan guests were being registered and the Afghan women’s team would be sent to Peshawar with their families for security.

A representative of Pakistan Football Federation also reached Torkham to form the Afghan women’s team. The Afghan women’s team consists of 115 members, including families.
