Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Pinnu Aqil where he was briefed on the operational readiness of Desert Formation in the field.
According to the Pakistan Army Public Relations Department (ISPR), the Army Chief inspected the formation of the field firing range at Salehpat. The Army Chief appreciated the military readiness, training standards and high morale in the difficult conditions of the formation.
According to ISPR, troops in the desert conducted combat exercises as part of a defensive war.
On the occasion, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that effective combination of different weapons and services is essential during the training.
According to ISPR, the Army Chief also planted saplings as part of the Green and Prosperous Pakistan Campaign, while the Army Chief also appreciated the formation to protect the environment and strengthen the defense of the region.
Later, the Army Chief visited the house of Sapi Hizbullah Jatoi Shaheed in Dattardino where he met the family of the martyr and inquired about their condition.
According to ISPR, the Army Chief directed to ensure the welfare of the families of the martyrs.
It may be recalled that the soldiers of Hizbullah Jatoi were martyred in an IED blast in Quetta on September 5.
