The Sindh High Court (SHC) has rejected the application of Agha Siraj Durrani’s lawyer for interim bail in the NAB inquiry into corruption in the construction of MPA hostel.
Agha Siraj Durrani and his lawyer Shehab Sarki did not appear in the court during the hearing of the NAB inquiry case related to corruption in the construction of MPA hostel.
The court staff kept shouting for Agha Siraj Durrani to appear. On this occasion, the NAB prosecutor said that the investigating officer was present in the court and the accused should have appeared.
Justice Muhammad Iqbal said that we wait for some more, maybe they will appear.
The junior counsel for Agha Siraj’s counsel appeared and said that the application for interim bail of Agha Siraj Durrani has been withdrawn.
Requesting to adjourn today’s hearing, the junior counsel told the court that Agha Siraj’s bail application had been rejected by the Sindh High Court yesterday and he had to approach the Supreme Court against the decision.
On this occasion, the Sindh High Court rejected the application for interim bail.
It may be recalled that the Sindh High Court had yesterday issued a written decision on the bail application of Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani and others. The court had rejected the bail application of 11 accused including Agha Siraj Durrani. Kalhoro wrote.
Following the court verdict, the NAB team reached the house of Agha Siraj Durrani in Karachi at 4 pm yesterday and returned 15 hours later without being arrested.
