Gutters of Diamer District of Federal Capital, Bahawalpur, Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Rahim Yar Khan, Quetta, Loralai, Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan, Nowshera, Bannu, Bajaur, Karam and Gilgit-Baltistan have been cleared of polio virus.
Adoption of new polio strategy has significantly improved the situation. The new anti-polio strategy was developed after the first wave of Corona. After the first wave of polio, a full-fledged anti-polio campaign was launched in the country.
