In response to a question, Waqar Younis said that he has never played a role in team selection, he was working as a bowling coach, watching the bowling side, I had no idea what was the opinion of Misbah-ul-Haq in team selection.

Waqar Younis said that Rameez Raja has an idea of cricket as the chairman of the board, he has been associated with cricket and will pay more attention to cricket, in the past the chairman of the board did not come as a former player.

The former coach said that he had nothing to do with the decision to remove Sarfraz from the captaincy. Rizwan performed well so Sarfraz did not get a chance.

Waqar Younis said that some players have fitness issues but I will not talk about selection. Speaking in terms of age, it is wrong to say that there are all young players, there are still players in the team who are over 30 years old. I expect and I want Pakistan cricket team to play well and achieve success.

He said that some people criticized me which I was very sorry to hear. I come to the position of coaching on merit. Look at the critics, not sit outside and criticize. It is brave to come to the board and look into matters. I will definitely apply again if I get another chance.
