A Lebanese militIG source reported that at least two people were killed and seven wounded during the shooting that took place in Beirut today, following a protest against the decisions of the judicial investigator in the port explosion, according to Reuters.
Initial reports were that one person was killed and eight others were injured, according to a hospital in Lebanon.
The vicinity of the Palace of Justice in Beirut witnessed security tension today, in the wake of the shooting. Lebanon’s Al-Jadeed TV said the sound of gunfire was heard near the protest site. It broadcast pictures of people running in the street and trying to hide.
And the official National News Agency in Lebanon reported earlier that supporters of the “Amal” movement and “Hezbollah” began to flock to the Palace of Justice in Beirut, denouncing the decisions of Judge Tariq Al-Bitar in the file of the port bombing.
