KABUL: The Taliban have banned the co-educational system in Afghanistan.

In an exclusive interview with ARY News in Kabul, Afghan Education Minister Abdul Baqi Haqqani said that the Taliban government has banned the simultaneous education of boys and girls, adding that no system can function in Afghanistan except the Islamic system.

Abdul Baqi Haqqani said that talks have been held with various universities for the elimination of co-education.

The Afghan Education Minister further said that the Taliban on the one hand want to formulate a reasonable Islamic curriculum in accordance with Islamic, national and our historical values ​​and traditions and on the other hand they want a curriculum that can compete with other countries.
