Etisalat announces the launch of the postal delivery services license

Engineer Hashem Hassab Al Rasoul, Minister of Communications and Digital Transformation, announced the launch of the postal delivery services license, which was approved by the Telecommunications and Post Regulatory Authority as a new service in accordance with safe and sound regulations, standards and systems.

The minister added that the celebration of World Post Day is an opportunity to recall the position that the post occupies in nations and societies and the effective role it plays in promoting the economic and social life of citizens.

He said that the post was the best solution and alternative to the severe closure that the country went through when the Corona pandemic spread, as the post continued to provide its services in those critical circumstances, but rather intensified its presence to cover all the gaps, adding that postal services are a basic right of the citizen and are considered necessIG and vital for the social and economic development of all countries. Policy makers, regulators and operators should make the most of technological development by changing the needs and requirements of citizens and improving the quality of the provided postal services by improving operational efficiency, providing electronic services for postal commerce, developing postal financial services and integrating them into financial inclusion projects and attention to infrastructure such as energy and telecom access And information technology, addressing systems and postal code, in addition to the sustainability of postal services and their access to all citizens and their provision of quality and reasonable prices. It is easy and convenient for the citizen, and that the ministry is working within a comprehensive strategic framework for digital transformation that places the adoption of mail as an essential component of e-government projects and providing access to citizens.

SUNA points out that the World Post Day falls on the ninth of October of each year, which is the anniversIG of the founding of the Universal Postal Union, which was in 1874 in Switzerland, and that the celebration of the Universal Postal Day is an increase in awareness of its role in the daily life of individuals and companies, as well as its enormous contribution to social and economic development
