Heavy rains wreak havoc in India

New Delhi: Heavy rains continue in India, causing floods in many states, submerging houses and vehicles and causing landslides.

According to Indian media, heavy rains are continuing across the country, which has caused horrific devastation from the plains of Gujarat to the mountains of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Roads in Gujarat are flooded, with houses and vehicles submerged. Dozens of roads and highways have been closed in Uttarakhand due to landslides.

In Gujarat, the worst rains have hit the Saurashtra region. The Meteorological Department has issued a high alert in the entire area.

The Meteorological Department has forecast continuous rains. The new Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupinder Patel also visited the flood-hit areas of the state and directed to expedite the relief operations.

Most parts of Uttarakhand are also affected by heavy rains. Landslides are also occurring in the state. Heavy rains are also hampering relief efforts.

Landslides are also rampant in the mountainous state of Himachal Pradesh. After that, traffic was closed for Kanwar and Spiti. Many roads are also closed due to debris.
