Sudan is studying the implementation of the railway connection with Ethiopia at a cost of 3 million dollars

Director of the Railway Authority, Walid Mahmoud, revealed a huge project with Ethiopia, to implement the railway project linking with Ethiopia.

According to the platform, Mahmoud said that there is a feasibility study for the project from the Canadian consulting company “CBCS”, and it is scheduled to be completed within 6 months to reach a railway extending from the cities of Port Sudan through the cities (Haya – Kassala – Gedaref – Qalabat and Al Matma). To end in Addis Ababa, with funding of more than 3 million dollars provided by the African Development Bank and the “IPAD” organization.

He explained that the line is 918 kilometers long within the Sudanese-Ethiopian border, which ends in the flaps.
