The Council decided to refer the waterfront development projects of the Sulaibikhat and Jahra coasts to the Public Services Committee, giving them the status of urgency and direct follow-up to overcome all obstacles they encounter.
During its meeting yesterday, the council completed the follow-up to the implementation of development projects and ways to overcome all the obstacles that might encounter them. The council discussed projects related to the development of waterfronts that are under the supervision of the Kuwait Municipality, in light of the tourism and development vision contained in the development plan.
The Council was briefed on the visual presentation submitted by the Director General and leaders of the Kuwait Municipality regarding the development of the structural plan for Sulaibikhat Bay.
The presentation also included an explanation of the components of the project, which includes shopping centers, recreational sites and an aquarium, in addition to sports gatherings that include a football club, a hotel, and support activities. square meters where the master plan has been developed to balance the desired development vision and project feasibility, to improve the site, environmental characteristics and social context, so that the project becomes a major tourist and leisure destination.
The Cabinet also listened to the visual presentation submitted by the Director General and leaders of the Kuwait Municipality regarding the Jahra waterfront development project (Jahra Corniche).
On the other hand, the Council of Ministers studied the obstacles facing the National Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Care regarding the project of preparing a temporIG area of land in the Subiya area to attract small and medium enterprises trucks.
The Council was informed of the presentation submitted by the National Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises Development on the measures taken by the Fund in cooperation with the ministries and concerned authorities regarding the project, the timetable for its implementation plan, and the scheduled date for the official opening of the project on 12/1/2021.
